'We are all meant to shine, as children do.'

For today I want to share a few well-known lines from Marianne Williamson with you that motivated me. For a long time I used to have this habit to apologize excessively. When someone stood on my toes, I would say 'sorry' and when someone pushed me aside in a row, I would say 'excuse me'. I thought it was noble to make myself smaller than others.
It took me quite a while to discover that making yourself smaller than others is the same as making yourself bigger than others. In both cases you ignore the fact that we are all equal.
Now when someone accidentally steps on my toes I just smile, no need for excuses from both sides. No one is guilty or submissive in this equality. And it is healing for both parties to simply be.
I practice this every day because I still have this 'sorry' reflex, but like everything in life it goes with two steps forward and one backward. But gradually there is progress!
Thank you for being here and I wish you a beautiful day!

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.

We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.”
